Tomorrow, the 107 year old bike manufacturing company Harley-Davidson set to launch its bikes in India. The bikes will be imported as CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will cost after the import duties in the range of Rs. 6-20 lakh. We know import duties are big hurdles to cross, once they establish their own assembly units the price may comedown.
Previously the government has blocked the road to launch the bikes in India showing the cause of emission norms. But we also have to consider the super bikes market. The market span is very less as in India most people are middle class. They can not afford a 10 lakh beast
